It
has been said that a builder with the correct quality
tools can out perform 5 builders using poor quality
equipment. Just like the builder, a handwerker needs
quality tools to enjoy their art and complete projects
which allow them to step back and admire with pride
Scissors are a basic tool for the handwerker.
We carry high quality scissors at affordable prices.
Another basic tool is the Chibi. A chibi is a curved
metal needle. Thread one with the Patternayan yarn
to bind-off your hooked rug or other project. No
other tool can help you do that part of your project
with such ease and uniformity. Please consider one
for your "work basket".

BUTTON,
BUNDLES, & BASKETS
Each
item in our large inventory of buttons, bundles,
and baskets is so unique that we cannot include
them on our order form. Each day our inventory changes
- new ones arrive and others are sold. So, we would
like you to use our toll free number to talk with
one of our staff about your needs and the selections
available. Shown below, are silver ram, square bone,
& specialty buttons. Bundles are color coordinated
hand-dyed wool for your special effects and small
areas.
 One
of Dorothy's passions is baskets. She uses them
in the shop to display products. She uses them to
store material while she is working on one of her
own handwerk projects.

 HOOPS,
BOOKS, NEEDLE CASES........
Hoops
are almost as basic as scissors for rug hookers,
quilters, and other handwerkers. Handwerkers agree
that Gruber hoops are wonderful. That is why we
carry them. Shown here, a Gruber Hoop supports
a Small Circle penny rug from a Judy Soehnge kit.
We love to see what others have done in times
past - their work inspires our creativity. At
Stonehill, we think that reading quality books
is one of the best ways to look back.

produced by The Museum of Early Southern Decorative
Arts in conjunction with Old Salem Collections.
It presents 39 pieces of handwerk.
