Our rug hooking kits: Emma, Jacob, Lone Star Santa showcase this mixed media. Many existing patterns can be adapted to use both techniques. We used Edyth O’Neill’s Bandbox Squirrel pattern to demonstrate our point.

Stonehill takes this concept one step further. Using our natural and hand-dyed Texas fibers we designed entire patterns and kits which result in a Berber-like rug. We call these Fleece Hooking when we use 100% linen backing and traditional rug hooking techniques.
